To my surprise, I found google ads both on top of the page and at the bottom of the page..

I thought it was just the wordpress guys (matt and others) testing some new ads platform.. i thought it could be exciting.. coz the WP guys usually come out with some really cool stuff.. I wanted to know if any posts on their ads model already out there..

Then to my surprise, I found matt’s post “on ads“:

We very occassionally show Adsense (contextual text ads) on post and tag pages. Why? To allow us to focus on free features in addition to paid and to offset costs of rapidly rising traffic.

These were relevant ads on volvo and bangalore, unlike others who got nasty ads..

This is the Clean and Green Group – announcing its 10th Trip to Clean. On Sunday 8 Oct – to Pearl Valley – Annekal – Muthyalmavudu.


A group of volunteers get together at a common point in town proceed to Pearl Valley, collect plastic waste and return to back to town. We are looking for volunteers who would like to join us for the trip.

Venue for start of the Trip : KFC on CMH Road – Indira Nagar 100 Ft Road Intersection

Time : 10 AM (assembly time, Depature : 10.15AM, Return back at KFC : 4:30PM)

Transportation : If you have bikes please get them, others can ride pillion :-)

Logistics :

  • Snacks, Sticks, Garbage bags and Gloves will be provided.

Sampada is an online Kannada community, focused more on the literary aspects of it. The good news is that if you log-in you get your own blog, bookmarks, syndication etc., Whats more its bi-lingual.

If you can read/write Kannada, I strongly recommend this site – even if you are not a blogger! :-)

Oh, btw, I do have a blog there too* – its present here.

*I almost never seem to run out of blogging options. O3, blogger, wordpress and now Sampada! Aargh!
