One of the latest FM radios to hit bangalore is RADIO INDIGO @ 91.9 MHz. They call themselves the first international radio station in India. This means they are going after the market which listens to english music only. Still genre-unlimited though: Pop, Rock, Trance, 70s etc. Bangalore being the rock-capital of India, really needed this kind-off a channel. But why do we need to wait for 8 pm for the good rock songs ??
Radio Indigo is not new to the business. They had been broadcasting on Worldspace, the satellite radio. I was not into worldspace, so not commenting on that.
The good part for now is that, the ads are yet to creep in. “The color of music” punch-line is not really working though. It does not match “sakkat hot maga” of radio mirchi. The enthu level of the radio can be improved a bit, maybe with more interactive events.
My favorite shows are:
Weekdays:
7 am to 11 am, The Big breakfast, RJ Cindu Chandrashekaran (Great morning songs)
2 pm to 5 pm, Indigo Jukebox, RJ Ayesha D’souza (Good RJ, but rumoured to be sponsored by backstreet boys 
)
8 pm to 12 am, Night Patrol, RJ Geoffrey Thomas (Classic & contemporary rock)
Saturday:
7am to 10am, Retro Rockets, RJ Tommy and Madhuri
3pm to 7pm, American Top 40, RJ Ryan Seacrest

Hi, happy to see a radio station that airs English music only. They staged an event today at ITPB, Bangalore, which was a disaster. I mean there were very few techies out there to listen to their favourite songs and have a nice time.
I request Radio Indigo to play some real and rare songs. Metallica does not mean just ‘one’, nothing else matters’. They have several other songs. And there are much better bands than Metallica (Annihilator for example).

Radio Indigo is a breath of fresh air. I’m a Bangalore-based long term expat. Radio Indigo fills the listening void. Favourite show – all day Sunday. GREAT jazz, blues, roots and soul. Keep up the good work.

Radio Indigo 91.9 fm sucks big time guys. They only play Pop, Pop Rock, Jazz and Hip-hop. All these Genre’s are very boring.
I am requesting Radio Indigo to please play Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, Death Metal, Film Background music(Gladiator, Troy, Lord of the rings etc..), 80′s Pop, Classical Music, Blues, Instrumental Rock(Steve vai, Joe satriani, etc…), Disco songs and Psychedelic Rock. Please consider my Request. This is what real music fans would want to listen on a Radio station. At the moment you guys are playing really bad and boring music.
My All-time favourite band is “The Doors”. And my current favourite song of their’s is “The Hill Dwellers”.

That night patrol ***ker plays Dire Straits every hour. He is in the 70s mode and plays that kind of songs of 90s artists. Tune in and u will hear Clapton, DIO (Holy Diver always), CCR, The Doors and Pink Floyd. Rock’n’ roll has grown beyond that buddy. This station sucks

tis really a pride for all international music lovers to have indigo in Bangalore. i started to listen to radio with indigo. till date i have not even thought of other channels. by default in my car audio. my phone and in my house as soon as i switch on it will automatically go to indigo. i just love the power house hosted by ivan and rohit. indigo really shows the colour of music. its awesome.. all the shows are wonderfull. their collection is huge. but they sholud cut down on local ads..

Radio Indigo rocks….Its awsome….Very few cities have channels playing english songs only…Even if they don play all type of genres they play english songs..My fav show is American Top 40 by Ryan Seacrest and American Top 20 by Cassie Casum…
